In the city of Luoyang, central China's Henan Province, temperatures dropped over the past week, bringing heavy snow to the Laojun Mountain scenic spot.
Snow-covered tree branches shown like dark jade in the sunshine, and the white earth was bathed in the golden glow of the sunrise and sunset.
The snow-capped peaks loomed above the rolling sea of clouds, creating a picturesque Chinese ink painting.
Snow enveloped the Huangshan Mountain scenic spot in east China's Anhui Province, creating a layer of rime and ushering in a sea of clouds to the park.
Throngs of visitors climbed up to the top of the mountains to take in the marvelous spectacle.
"After climbing up to the top, I saw the rime and the sea of clouds, which made me very happy," said a visitor.
In the city of Jixi, northeast Heilongjiang Province, a large freshwater lake on the China-Russia border has been frozen solid, with large amounts of ice floes flowing and overlapping from freezing temperatures and gales.
Covering an area of 4,380 square meters, the Xingkai Lake lies on the border between Primorsky Krai of Russia and Heilongjiang Province in northeast China.
During the freezing process of the lake, the ice layer on the surface would crack under strong winds. After several times of breaking and freezing over, piles of ice flows were formed on the bank of the lake, creating a natural splendor.
