[CBC뉴스] 그룹 아이콘과 YG엔터테인먼트의 계약이 종료됐다.

YG엔터테인먼트는 30일 공식 입장을 통해 “당사는 아이콘 멤버(김진환, BOBBY, 송윤형, 구준회, 김동혁, 정찬우)들과 향후 활동에 대한 오랜 논의 끝에 서로의 의견을 존중, 계약기간 만료에 따라 전속계약을 종료하기로 합의했다”라고 밝혔다.

이어 “그동안 소속 아티스트로 함께해 준 아이콘에게 진심으로 고마움을 전한다”면서 “앞으로 다양한 분야에서의 활동을 기대하고 응원하겠다”라고 덧붙였다.

한편 아이콘은 2015년 9월 가요계에 데뷔했다. 이후 '사랑을 했다' '죽겠다' '꼴좋다' '이별길' '뛰어들게' '너라는 이유' 등의 곡으로 대중들의 많은 사랑을 받았다. 당초 7인조 그룹이었지만 2019년 리더 비아이가 마약 의혹으로 팀을 탈퇴하며 6인조로 재편됐다.

The contract between the group iKON and YG Entertainment has ended.

On the 30th, YG Entertainment officially stated, "After a long discussion with the iKON members (Kim Jin-hwan, BOBBY, Song Yun-hyeong, Goo Jun-hoe, Kim Dong-hyeok, Jung Chan-woo) about their future activities, we have agreed to respect each other's opinions and to end the exclusive contract due to the expiration of the contract period."

They added, "We sincerely thank iKON for being with us as a affiliated artist and look forward to and support their various activities in the future."

Meanwhile, iKON made their debut in the K-pop industry in September 2015. Since then, they have received a lot of love from the public with songs such as "Love Scenario," "Killing Me," "Beautiful," "Goodbye Road," "Jumping," and "Reason." Originally a 7-member group, they were reorganized into a 6-member group in 2019 when leader B.I withdrew from the team due to a drug scandal.
