[CBC뉴스] 혹등고래가 알래스카에서 낚시 장비에 휘말린 후 구조되다.
테나키 스프링스의 지역 주민들은 고래의 구조 요청을 듣고 돕기 위해 나섰다.
알래스카의 NOAA 어업회는 이 고래가 부표선과 게 통발에 얽혀 굶주린 상태였다고 밝혔다.
하지만 구조대원들은 가까스로 대부분의 줄을 제거했고 고래가 나머지 부분을 제거할 수 있기를 바랐다.
A humpback whale has been rescued after being caught up in fishing gear in Alaska.
Residents in the tiny community of Tenakee Springs heard its distress call and went to its aid.
NOAA Fisheries in Alaska said the whale had become entangled in a buoy line and crab pot gear which meant it couldn't eat.
But rescuers managed to remove most of the line and it was hoped the whale could get rid of the rest.
