[CBC뉴스] 핀란드 라플란드의 눈 덮인 숲과 강 위로 오로라가 하늘에서 춤을 추고 있었다.

섭씨 영하 25도의 혹한 속에서 빛을 포착한 현지 사진작가는 "오로라가 현지 시각으로 2100GMT(1900GMT)에 나타났으며 현지 시각으로 20일 0500GMT(0300GMT)를 지나서야 빛이 사그라들었다"고 밝혔다.

Northern lights were dancing in the skies over the snowy forests and rivers of Finnish Lapland. The local photographer who captured the lights in freezing temperatures of -25 degrees Celcius, said they appeared at around 2100 local time (1900GMT) on Monday and only faded after 0500 local time (0300GMT) on Tuesday.

He said the most breathtaking moment happened around midnight when he was treated to a magnificent display of the lights, also known as aurora borealis, in the skies for half an hour.
