Singer IU practiced sharing through donations as the year-end approached.

According to EDAM Entertainment, the agency representing IU, on the 30th, IU donated a total of KRW 200 million (approximately USD 180,000) to support organizations for children with rare diseases, the Korean Child Welfare Association, a non-profit organization that delivers milk to ask about the well-being of the elderly, and the coal bank community kitchen, which helps marginalized groups, as the year-end approached.

Through her agency, IU said, "I wanted to share the love I received and the support from many people because I am happier and more precious than ever before because of the love and support I received. I hope that our neighbors who are experiencing difficulties can have a happy year-end without being marginalized."

The donation will be used to improve the living and nursing environments for children and teenagers with rare diseases, and to support the upbringing and education of children and teenagers in need of protection and independence. In addition, it will be used for social contribution activities that ask about the well-being of elderly people living alone in the area through milk, and for coal sharing and heating equipment support for vulnerable households during the winter.

IU has consistently practiced kindness towards neighbors who are experiencing economic difficulties under the name "IUana," which is a combination of her fan club name "Uana" and her name. In particular, she has spread her kind influence through timely donations on special occasions such as her birthday and debut anniversary, as well as when help is needed.
