[김현진 기자] JTBC '힘쎈여자 강남순'에서 변우석은 빌런으로 변신해서 '선재 업고 튀어'의 선재와는 정반대의 캐릭터를 보여준다. 

변우석이 열연하는 것을 보면 눈을 씻고 봐도 류선재 흔적을 찾을 수 없다. 물론 선업튀가 후속으로 했기 때문이라고 할 수 있지만 완전히 다른 사람으로 변신하는 것은 쉽지 않다고 할 수 있다. 

이 드라마에서 또 다른 연기 변신자가 있다. 터프가이로 등장하는 돌직구 형사 박형사이다. 영탁은 이 드라마에서 옹성우와 함께 수사를 하는 박영탁 형사로 나온다. 박영탁은 류시오를 추적하는 '만렙형사'이다. 영탁과 변우석은 잡으려는 자와 도망가는 자로 서로 다른 운명을 걷고 있다. 

극중에서 범죄자와 수사관으로 열연한 변우석과 영탁 사이에는 묘한 긴장감이 흐르고 있다.

한편 두 스타는 8월 네티즌 어워즈에서 맹활약하고 있다. 현재 변우석은 남자연기상 1위에 올라 있다. 영탁은 같은 시각 기준 남자가수상 15위이다.

Watching Byeon Woo-seok’s intense performance, it’s hard to find any trace of Seon-jae, the character he played in Lovely Runner. While it’s true that Lovely Runner aired after Strong Girl Nam-soon, the complete transformation into a different persona is no easy feat.

Another actor showcasing a dramatic character shift in this drama is Young-tak, who plays the role of Park Detective, a no-nonsense, tough guy. Young-tak stars as Detective Park, who partners with Ong Seong-wu’s character to solve cases. Park Detective is a veteran investigator chasing after Ryu Si-oh, played by Byeon Woo-seok. The two actors embody opposite roles—one as the relentless pursuer, the other as the elusive fugitive—leading them down very different paths.

Within the drama, the intense performances of Byeon Woo-seok and Young-tak as criminal and detective create a palpable tension between the two characters.
