[김현진 기자] BTS 슈가가 전동킥보드 음주운전 혐의로 경찰에 입건됐다고 한다. 슈가는 술에 취한채 전동킥보드를 운전 중 사고를 냈다고 한다. 음주 측정 결과 면허 취소 수치라는 것이다.
서울 용산 경찰서는 슈가를 도로교통법 위반 혐의로 입건해 조사하고 있다고 한다. 음주상태로 슈가가 전동킥보드를 타가다 넘어진 것으로 알려졌다.
슈가는 지난해 9월부터 사회복무요원으로 근무중이다. 슈가는 2025년 6월 소집해제 예정이다.
한편 BTS는 8월 네티즌 어워즈 최고그룹상에서 활약하고 있다. 7일 오후 1시 11분 현재 66득표로 최고그룹상 11위이다.
BTS member Suga has been booked by the police on charges of drunk driving on an electric scooter. According to reports, Suga was intoxicated while operating the scooter and caused an accident. The breathalyzer test results indicated a blood alcohol level high enough for license revocation.
The Yongsan Police Station in Seoul stated that Suga is being investigated for violating the Road Traffic Act. It is reported that he fell while riding the electric scooter in an intoxicated state.
Suga has been serving as a social service worker since September last year and is scheduled to be discharged in June 2025.
